PCT 100 introduces students to the role of Patient Care Technicians, working under the supervision of Registered Nurses. This course focuses on collaboration within healthcare teams, with duties such as maintaining room cleanliness, assisting with personal care, monitoring vital signs, and supporting medical staff with patient treatments. Students will develop essential skills in communication, organization, and patient interaction, and learn to work comfortably with medical equipment and technology. Upon completion, PCT 100 graduates will be prepared to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a range of healthcare environments.
